More than
80% of Christians trust Christ as their Savior between the ages of 4 and
14. Before the world can shape our children into its mold, we, at
Bayshore Baptist Church, seek to lay the
firm foundation of Jesus Christ and to inspire a love for the Word of
God in their hearts. Through weekly Bible study, Children’s Worship,
choir and discipleship, Vacation Bible School and summer activities our children worship,
pray, give, and go as the power of the Gospel challenges them and
changes their lives.
In Matthew
18:5, Jesus declared that, "Whoever receives one such child in my
name receives me." Elementary and preschool children are priorities
at Bayshore. From the youngest preschooler (birth through Kindergarten)
to the oldest elementary child, Bible teaching is stressed.
Our
teachers use a variety of age-appropriate methods such as learning
centers, arts and crafts, games and stories to convey Biblical truths.
At Bayshore, we are committed to reaching the next generation for
Christ.
Our desire is to reach children and their families with the Gospel of
Jesus Christ and to minister to them as they grow in their relationship
with Him
Weekly Events in
Children’s Ministry Include:
Children's Sunday
School
Sunday
School serves as the centerpiece of our ministry to children, because it
is the foundation of our teaching and caring ministry. We have graded
classes where a child can build relationships and friendships that will
last for eternity. Although we use a traditional curriculum, our
textbook is the Bible. These classes are
age-graded to meet the individual needs of children. They are designed
to teach the basic concepts of the Bible in a way that children can
understand. Join us for Sunday School at
9:00 a.m. and 10:30 am each Sunday.
Acts 1:8 Kids
In this
mission-minded class, kids will learn about missions, sing great songs,
do drama, play games, memorize verses and have lots of fun. Meet in the
gym on Sundays at 5:45pm. Ages 3-6th grade. Classes are divided by age.
TeamKid
TeamKid
is
a discipleship program covering a variety of topics for school-aged
children. We will discuss the life of Jesus, developing character,
mission projects, developing friendships, and much more. We would love
to have your children join us.
Join us on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m.
Children's
Church
Meets at
9:00am Sunday mornings. At Bayshore,
we believe that it is a parent’s privilege to teach their children to
worship; however, since parents are not always present or available on
Sunday morning, we offer an age-appropriate worship experience designed
just for children. This is a special worship
service for children ages four years through 5th grade, which
coincides with our regular Sunday morning worship service. Children
sing hymns and praise songs, participate in giving, and hear thematic
Bible stories designed to meet their spiritual needs.

Vacation Bible
School
Vacation Bible School is an
exciting week of fun, Bible study, crafts, music, and adventure. It is
offered each summer to 4-year-olds through 5th graders.
Pre-Teen Camp
Children who have completed
the 3rd through 6th grades are invited to join Preteen Camp at Trinity
Pines Conference Center. The camp lasts five days and is designed with
preteens in mind.
